Need a good sugar cookie recipe?!
I'm making a buch for my sisters wedding and I need a recipe that can be multiplied easily but it still needs to taste good, that's the only prob with the sugar cookies I've been making their just not coming out that sweet!. I don't know if its the flavoring or what!. But i just need some help!.

Answers:
4 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
12 tbsp butter
2/3 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla
Stir together flour, baking power, and 1/4 tspn salt!. Beat butter & shortening for 30 seconds; add sugar and beat till fluffy!. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well!. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating till well combined!. Cover & chill 2-3 hours!. Work with 1/2 the dough at a time on a lightly floured surface!. Roll to no less than 1/4 inch thickness!. Cut into desired shapes!. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet!. Bake at 375 for 8 minutes or till lightly browned around edges!.

3/4 cup butter, softened
1 egg
3 Tablespoons heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Colored Granulated sugar
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup sugar, butter, egg, whipping cream, vanilla and almond extract!. Beat with electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy!. Add flour, baking powder and salt!. Beat at low speed until soft dough forms!. Cover with plastic wrap and chill 1 - 2 hours or until firm!.
Heat oven to 400 degrees!. On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness!. Using 3 inch cookie cutters, cut desired shapes into dough!. Place shapes about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets!. Sprinkle shapes with sugar!. Bake for 4 - 6 minutes or until edges are light golden brown!.
