Why do boiled potatoes fill you up more than mashed?!

Question: Why do boiled potatoes fill you up more than mashed!?
If potatoes are boiled and then mashed with butter and milk, it requires about 45% more weight of potato (in my case 500 grammes versus 350) to be satisfied, compared to just boiled!. Why is that!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your stomach responds more to volume than to weight!. The boiled potato takes up more volume!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You chew boiled ones more, so eat more slowly and "sense" the food more!. So mentally you feel you ate more!. It takes about 20 minutes for the stomach to send "ok, had food" signals!.!.!.!.so if you eat faster, you tend to eat moreWww@FoodAQ@Com

Think you goofed!. The question should be turned around!. The fats in mashed would fill anyone up faster!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
