What is the difference between using a lemon or a lime when cooking?!

Question: What is the difference between using a lemon or a lime when cooking!?
Answers:
Lime has more of a kick to it!. When making anything Asian, I tend to use Lime!. The same would be true for Caribbean , African and Mexican or south american

I use lemon for middle eastern and Mediterranean

And, I disagree with the 1st poster!. I think lime is more tart than a lemon!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They have distinct tastes, but in a pinch can be replaced by the other in a recipe!. They do serve the same purpose in cooking!. Just remember limes are generally smaller than lemons, so if it says the juice of one lemon, you should use two limes!.

There is not difference really except in the taste!. Lemons tend to be more tart that the lime, which tends to be much sweeter and less bolder that the lemon!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
