You can use venison, instead of beef, the biggest difference is going to be that the venison needs to be tender, so if your cut seems tough, either use a tenderizer or make a slow cooker version of stroganoff, to make sure the meat gets tender!. also, because of the strength of the venison flavor, I would maybe add a dash more seasoning to balance out the flavor!. Here is a crock pot recipe for Venison Stroganoff:

2 Tbls!. flour
1/2 tsp!. garlic powder
1/2 tsp!. pepper
1/4 tsp!. paprika
1 1/2 - 2 lbs!. Venison Steak
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup water
1 pkg!. Dried Onion Mushroom Soup Mix
1 jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 cup sour cream
1 Tbls!. parsley flakes

In a crock pot, mix flour, garlic powder, pepper, and paprika!. Cut beef into 1/2 inch strips about 1 1/2 inches long!. Place in flour mixture and stir the meat until well-coated!. Add the mushroom soup, water, and soup mix!. Stir until blended!. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or on low 6-7 hours or until meat is very tender!. Stir in mushrooms, sour cream, and parsley!. Immediately cover and cook on high 10-15 minutes or until its heated throughout!.

Of course!. Just substitute venison for beef in a beef stroganoff recipe!. I wouldn't cook it as long though, since venison has so little fat and can be dry!. It should be delicious!. (I LOVE venison!)Www@FoodAQ@Com
