Which pumpkin pie recipe should I use?!
Which pumpkin pie should I make!?
I like it a little bit sweeter!. Any other suggested recipes or sites!?
1 1/2 pints vanilla ice cream, softened
3 eggs
1 3/4 cups pumpkin puree
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 (9 inch) unbaked pie shells
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C!.) Place ice cream near the warm oven to soften!. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs!. Stir in the pumpkin puree, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg!. Mix in soft ice cream until smooth!. Pour filling into two 9 inch pie shells!. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven!. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake an additional 30 to 40 minutes, or until filling is set!.

DIRECTIONS

Recipe 2 definitely sounds sweeter then the first one, due to the Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk, it also gives it a smoother texture and flavor I think personally then just adding pure sugar!. If you don't like these recipes as much as you want then you could always go look at "allrecipes!.com" It's my favorite!.

The recipe with the ice cream and sugar will be sweeter than the other one!. Personally I like the recipe that is on the Libby's pumpkin label!.
Definitely buy your pumpkin puree in a can!.!.!.it is a pain to cook and puree at home and the results aren't worth the trouble, IMHO!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the second one sounds like the one from the can, which my mom always made and it is really delicious (but we actually use evaporated milk)!. heat up the spices, sugar and puree so the mix together better and then let cool before adding them to the whipped eggs!.
