Why is my butter chicken sour?!


Question: Why is my butter chicken sour!?
Hi, I make butter chicken and it comes out sour!. I use fresh tomatoes and chop them with the skin and the seeds!. Does the sour taste come from that!?
I use normal cream and butter to make it but it doesn't taste creamy!. In the restaurants it's red but tastes creamy and the gravy is tick and smooth!. I wonder how I can have them all together!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You have to cook the tomatos till they'r really mushy and all puree from!. Try adding more cream to make the taste more creamy!. To thicken the mixture, add two tablespoon of plain flour that's dissolved with one and a half tablespoon of water!.

As for the sour tast, try using lesser tomatoes that are more riped(more red in colour)!. Remove the skin after all the tomato flesh has come off, it'll taste nicer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe you aren't using enough cream, or it's the (kind of) tomato you use!.
I'm sure using fresh tomato is better, but I always get those canned tomatoes (the chopped ones) and I use both the juice and the chopped tomatoes and they turn out great!.!.

i think you should take the skin off the tomatoes or perhaps buy the canned "plum" tomatoes with the skin removed already!.!.!. you only need a small amount as wellWww@FoodAQ@Com
