Ingredients
125g/4oz butter
55g/2oz caster sugar
180g/6oz plain flour
Method
1!. Heat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas 5!.
2!. Beat the butter and the sugar together until pale!.
3!. Stir in the flour to get a smooth paste!. Turn on to a work surface and gently roll out until the paste is 1cm/?in thick!.
4!. Cut into rounds or fingers and sprinkle with a little extra caster sugar!. Put on a baking sheet and chill for 20 minutes!. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until pale golden!. Cool on a wire rack!.

HOLIDAY SHORTBREAD COOKIES
INGREDIENTS!.!.!.!.!.
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup red maraschino cherries, quartered (optional)
1/4 cup green maraschino cherries, quartered (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.
In a large bowl, combine butter, flour, and confectioners' sugar!. With an electric mixer, beat for 10 minutes, until light and fluffy!. Spoon onto cookie sheets, spacing cookies 2 inches apart!. ( Optional!.!.!.Place a piece of maraschino cherry onto the middle of each cookie, alternating between red and green )
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the bottoms of the cookies are lightly browned!. Remove from oven, and let cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer cookies on to wire rack to cool!. Store in an airtight container, separating each layer with waxed paper!.
SHORTBREAD CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
INGREDIENTS!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C)!.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt, set aside!. In a medium bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy!. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients, then stir in the walnuts and chocolate chips!.
Roll or scoop dough into walnut sized balls!. Place them on unprepared cookie sheets 1 1/2 inches apart!. Flatten cookies slightly!. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until light golden brown!. Remove from sheets to cool on racks!.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (7 ounce) bar milk chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!. In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup of all-purpose flour and sugar!. Cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly!. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9x9 inch baking pan!.
Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until firm and slightly golden!. Set aside to cool!.
In a medium bowl, mix together 1/4 cup flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder!. Make a well in the center, and add the egg, vanilla, and sweetened condensed milk!. Mix until well blended!. Stir in the chopped chocolate and walnuts!. Spread the mixture over the cooled crust!.
Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until brownies begin to pull away from the edges, and the top appears dry!. Cool, and cut into squares!. Store tightly covered at room temperature!.

Always remember 6, 4, 2!. 6oz Flour, 4oz butter, 2oz sugar and mix together!. Dish, Oven, bake - 180c - 200c until golden!. Remember cooking it with my old man, tastes good too! Simple!Www@FoodAQ@Com
