The stringy pumpkin goop is garbage but as many others have mentioned, you can bake the seeds!. The sides of the pumpkin is where the cookable flesh is at but if you're using the pumpkin to make a lantern you can't scoop that all out!.

The next day, preheat your oven to 300 degrees!. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray!. Spread soaked seeds onto baking sheet!. Bake for 45 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are two kinds of pumpkins, the cooking pumpkin, and the larger decorative pumpkin, or Halloween pumpkin if you prefer, seeds from the Halloween pumpkins can be baked at 400 degree for 10-15 minutes, cooking pumpkins can be cut, gutted, and baked like squash, or used for pumpkin pies!.!.!.
