One of the most delicious ways of eating sweet potato is to make fries with it and serve them with ordinary fries ( the sweet potatoes will cook faster than the ordinary ones ) the contrast is brilliant and you can eat them with anything you would eat fries with normally!.
Or you can peel and cut the sweet potatoes into wedges or chunks, toss them in a little oil, herbs and black pepper and roast them in the oven for the last twenty five minutes of the sunday joint; serve them with the rest of the veg, including potatoes, and gravy!.!.or else scrap the usual veg and roast the sweet potatoes with chunks of onion, courgette, tomatoes aubergine, celery and sweet peppers!.!.and anything else you fancy including corn on the cob!.!.toss everything in oil and herbs (dried one will do but for the best results mix a couple of teaspoons of green or red pesto with an equal amount of olive oil and use this to toss the vegetables in before roasting for twenty-five to thirty five minutes!.!.serve with slices of roast lamb, pork , chicken or fillets of any fish you like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ewww, what's with the marshmallow suggestions!?!!

She wants it for dinner!. Not dessert!.

I like mixing natural plain yoghurt in with chilli powder, a pinch of salt and a grinding of pepper!. Stir that up and put spoonfuls of it on top of your sweet potato!. It's a good contrast between hot and cold and sweet and spicy!.

I have it when I'm fasting and can't eat meat or wheat or any vegetable apart from potato!. I also have it without the salt as we can't eat that either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get some mallow creme and mix in some cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg!. Put on top and you could also sprinkle a little brown sugar on top of the mallow creme mix when you get it on the potato!. also just a mix of brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg!. (You could sub all spices for pumpkin pie or apple pie spice!.)

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If I'm in a "sweet" mood, I'll top mine with some real butter and drizzle them with a good quality honey!.

If I'm in a "savory" mood, I'll top mine with some butter, a drizzle of olive oil, and some herbs du provence (available at most grocery stores)!.

I like to just put margarine on mine!. You can put cinnamon sugar and marshmallow as many have suggested but that's not my preference!. You can also put pecans on it, you can mix drained green beans with it, and even roast them with green pepper!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Corn on the Cob or sweet corn goes lovely with Sweet potato with some authentic home made chunky coleslaw on top (not the runny, mayonaisy stuff you get at the shops)!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I keep mine a little simpler!. I add some butter, a dash of black pepper, and some cinnamon and chili powder!. It's a nice combination!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bake em in the oven 350 /45 min!. with a light brown sugar and unsalted butter just a little then 10 min before you pull from oven drizzle real maple syrup on it Mmmm!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mash them up and mix with brown sugar and then top with marsh mellows a few minutes before taking them outta the oven so they melt slightly!.
