What's the best way to prepare frozen chicken?!
I'm very new to cooking, and I'm looking for something very simple and healthy!. I have a package of frozen boneless chicken breasts!.!.!.I'm unsure if I'm supposed to defrost it (I'm assuming I am), what I should coat my pan with, or if I should cook it covered or uncovered!? Any suggestions or recipes would be appreciated! Thanks! :)
PS- I'm only cooking for myself, so I don't need a recipe for a real large portion!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can thaw one or two breasts in a bowl of warm water in the sink!.!.!. they don't have to be thawed completely, just 75% or so!.
Season w/ S&P, maybe some garlic or onion powders, maybe some dry thyme!.!.!. melt a Tbsp or less of butter in a skillet, and add a Tbsp or less of EVOO!. Mix and swirl around!., set heat to med-high!. Add seasoned chicken breast(s)!. Let sit about 4-6 minutes, peek underneath and if it's pretty and golden brown, flip!. (if it's pale but not caramelized to a brownish shade, do not flip yet)!. Then cook on the other side!. Remove chicken to plate and cover in foil!.
Now, if you want a little sauce, add some water, white wine, or chix broth (half cup, maybe!?) to the pan, and scrape up the little bits that are cooked on!. Brign to a boil to evaporate some of it, then pour sauce over chicken!. Enjoy!
This works w/ chix breasts, strips ("tenders"), pork chops, or pork loin slices!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes you always need to defrost chicken before cooking it to ensure that the middle of it gets cooked all the way through!. the best way is usually to take it out of the freezer and put it in the fridge the night before!. but if you want to cook it now then you can defrost it in the microwave!. most microwaves have a 'defrost' button that you can push!. if not, put it in for about 1 minute and then feel it!. if it's still rock hard, put it in for another minute, etc, continue until it is no longer frozen!. then when cooking it on the stove!.!. yes you should coat the pan!. you can either melt a little bit of butter in there to coat it, or pour a little bit of oil!. put it on medium heat and cover it!. after a few minute flip it over!. before you eat it cut in to the middle to make sure it is not pink inside!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
