Season your steaks by coating them with some canola or vegetable oil, then some salt, pepper, and dried herbs like oregano, parsley, basil!.
Turn broiler to HIGH!.
Put them on a broiler pan or flat pan about 4-5" away from broiler element!.
For a 1/2 inch steak, do them for about 3!.5-4 mins per side!. You might find you need more time than that, but if you like med-rare, its best not to overcook!.
I like rare/medium rare, so I'd probably do 3!.5 mins on one side and 4-4!.5 on the other side, but thats me and I like rare!.
5/5!.5 mins per side for medium well!.
Let steaks rest for 5 mins before cutting into them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always broil my steaks on high!. Be sure to leave the oven door open a little!. Most ovens will allow you to leave it open about 4-6 inches!. There's like a groove there, so it stays ajar!.
I would figure 4-5 minutes per side for medium!. Thin steaks cook fairly quickly, so keep an eye on them!. I always take mine out when I think they might be done, and cut a little slit in the top of the thickest part of the steak!. If the juice comes out red, it's not done yet!. Pink is ok, not red!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put it on high first!. That will sear and lock in the flavors!. Once the top is crisp, turn it over so that the other side gets crisp (5 mins on each side)!. Then turn it to low and cook until your desired doneness!. For medium/medium rare, it shouldn't take long!. About 10-20 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Put it on high and set the oven rack so the rack in a pan is 6" from the heat and they will take 3-3? minutes per side!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
