Answers:
ymmm! You can cut the asparagus if you want to or you can leave them as is!. However, the base of the asparagus is hard, you can trim it down!. If you like it a little crisp, don't blanch it, on the other hand if you like it soft, blanch it first but don't over do it!.

As for the chicken thigh, you probably need to boil it first with seasonings!. Then strain it and put it in the tempura batter and fry it!. Once fry to your liking, strain the oil out!. Good Luck!.

I haven't done tempura for while, I think I'm going to do it when hubby gets home!. He love veggies, and kids too!. Oh, man, the sauce that I make with it, is off the top!. ymmm!

Have you try yam tempura! ymmm! Www@FoodAQ@Com

The chicken thighs are too big and with that bone, they won't cook through before the tempura outside is too dark!.

You can debone and cut first!. Better not to risk salmonella - cook them well!.

You can do asparagus!. I would not split them, I'd try just coating and frying and test a couple!. If they come out too crunchy for your taste then do a fast par boil/blanch first!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
