If you don't have coriander what can you use instead!? I have this recipe and it calls for coriander but in the small town I live in no one sells it and the nearest big city is like 3 hours away!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh, that stinks, 3 hours away, wow, you must have to be very organized when you go shopping! Anyways, Coriander is related to the parsley family and their leaves are cilantro, but the seeds and leaves bear no resemblance to each other!. The combination of lemon, sage and caraway seeds will come close to what you are looking for in flavors!. This is one of those special, important ingredients that have a unique flavor all their own and are not easily replaced, but I hope the lemon, sage and caraway seeds will do you well!. I have no idea if you are looking for fresh coriander leaves, or the dry coriander seeds!. They are different and used differently!.
Fresh coriander in USA is called Cilantro and available as such at many Grocery stores!. If you don't find cilantro may be use a small amount of fresh parsley
Coriander seed is a little difficult to substitute for!.!.!.You could always buy the coriander seeds on the internet!. Coriander is a common spice used in Indian cooking

Most of the time, I substitute parsley for coriander!. I use a little more parsley than the recipe calls for since coriander has a slightly stronger taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Coriander is cilantro seeds, use parsley!.!.!. you should be able to get that, or use cilantro!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

try a few celery seeds!. I believe coriander is parlsey seeds!. If you can't find celery seeds,just omit it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
