What's the best way to cook swordfish?!


Question: What's the best way to cook swordfish!?
Never cooked it before, but I have 2 large swordfish steaks in my freezer!. Nice and thick slices!. They are just a bit over 1/2 # each!. I have no clue!. I would like a tried and true way to prepare them!. Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

since they a frozen, the best way would be to poach the fish in the oven!. sword fish flakey whitefish!. takes gentle poaching !. very low heat!. some fish have a tendency to blow apart when poached!. this is not one of them!. most restaurants grill then charbroil this fish!. turns the gentle steaks fish jerky!. just use combination of lime not lemon juice!. bay leaf one half cup vinegar!. whitefish should always be cooked with lime juice!. 350 degree oven away you go!. for a topping , great flavour added after finished , small dab of thai sauce!. this will give you a dish That will be in mid 30 range restaurant!. served with angle noodles you favourite topping !. away you are !. super gourmet meal!. best part limited fish odour, easy clean up!. enjoyWww@FoodAQ@Com

Best Ways to Cook Swordfish:


1!. Oven Broiler
Turn broiler to high!. Place Swordfish in broiler for 8-10 minutes!.

2!. BBQ
When charcoals are ready, place Swordfish on the grill!. Place cover on bbq!. Cook for
4 minutes on each side!. Do not over cook!. Swordfish can be placed on aluminum foil
instead of directly on the grill!.

3!. Pan Fry
Coat Swordfish in Phil's Blackened Seasoning, put to side!. Lightly coat pan with cooking
spray, vegetable oil, or olive oil!. Place on Medium-High heat!. When hot place Swordfish
in pan!. Cook for 4 minutes on each side!.

Flash fry the fish, which has been seasoned with sea salt and pepper, in some oil and butter with a chopped garlic clove and a little squeeze of lemon juice for about 2/3 mins each side depending on the thickness, then remove from the pan and put to rest on a warm plate, the add cherry tomatoes to the pan and swirl around until they are thoroughly warmed through serve with the fish and a salad pouring over the Little of the oil & garlic juices add couple of new potatoes if desired!.(The oil stops the butter from burning and its best done in a griddle pan gives those nice lines on the fish skin)!. Cut them into large chunks, thread on metal skewers, brush with some olive oil, salt & pepper!. Grill over medium high heat for about 8 minutes!. Remove from grill, cover with foil and let sit about 2 -3 minutes!. Serve with salsa (mango or peach are my favorites) some mexican or yellow rice and a veg (string beans!?)!. Yum!Www@FoodAQ@Com
