Is it safe to and eat a chicken if it is kept not refrigerator!?I accidentally left a marinaded chicken in room temp for 3 hours!.Would it be safe to fry it and eat it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it was raw, yes, cook it well, and it will be fine (165 degrees)!. If it was already cooked, you probally wouldn't want to cook it to 165 again, b/c then it will just be dried out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Always keep poultry refrigerated, even when in a marinade, until it's ready for cooking!.Chicken should be stored at a temperature outside of the temperature zone in which bacteria, that causes foodborne illness, grows quickly!. The danger temperature zone is a range between 40°F and 140°F!.Chicken leftovers should be cooled and refrigerated as soon as possible, limiting the amount of time it is exposed to room temperatures!. Never leave the chicken at room temperature for more than two hours!.
These guidelines are IMPORTANT!. Always better safe than sorry!. You can get seriously ill!. I thought everyone had heard of Salmonella by now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have heard that chicken should be refrigerated after 2 hrs of being cooked , but I myself have left it out longer and have not gotten sick, Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think youll be fine its bad when its already cooked has the bone and is left out because it begins to grow bacteria!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
