Answers:
don't microwave them to long, if they are a little frozen they will cook in the croc, but it will take a while regardless if they're frozen or not!. i would use the diced tomatoes, a little onion and lots of celery, add 2 cups of water and set on low, 21/2 to 3 hours, it will be like soupWww@FoodAQ@Com
You can go a couple of ways: Cacciatore or Parmesan style!.
Usually, these are made with skinless boneless chicken breasts!.
Heat some oil in a skillet, saute chicken until brown about 10 minutes!.
Combine in crock-pot with 1 can/cup of crushed/diced tomatoes,
2 scallions, 2 crushed cloves of garlic, 1 tsp sugar, 2 tbsp red wine!.
Optional other seasonings: celery seed, Italian herbs, pepper, etc!.
Cook on Low 6-8 hours, test chicken registers 170F with thermometer!.
Sprinkle with cheese & serve with your choice of pasta!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

brown the chicken thighs in a pan
in the crock pot put some of the sliced onion, celery and diced tomatoes
put 4 of the browned thighs - repeat the layer of onion etc - more chicken more onions etc
in a jug - stock cube, herbs, some tomato sauce, salt and pepper - about a pint of hot water - pour that into the pan you browned the chicken in to get the meat juices of the pan
pour over the chicken and veg
slow cook in oven for about 2 hours at 160 degrees
always check one of the chicken pieces that its cooked right through by checking the colour close to the bone on one - if its bloody red its not cooked - but after two hours it should be
and enjoy - serve with some mashed potatoesWww@FoodAQ@Com
