Can I soak the raisins first?!
When grandma use to make raisin bread she would always soak her raisins to make the plumper!.

The only way you could soak the raisins with out making the mixture mushy would be to soak them in the required ammont of water needed for reciepe!.!. I wouldnt soak for 2 long as the raising will absorb the water but will still be moist enough to make

It may add too much moisture to your cookie dough!. What I do is mix up my recipe that I add 1 tablespoon of water to and let it sit for about 20 minutes before I bake them!. This seems to really make a difference and they are moist and chewy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
