my dad always makes it and it tastes like crap!

This is a REALLY REALLY delicious - and very easy to make;


5 teaspoons olive oil
4 shallots, diced
1 large onion, cut into thin strips
1 pound bacon, cut into strips
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 (16 ounce) package fettuccini pasta
3 egg yolks
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Heat olive oil in a large heavy saucepan over medium heat!. Saute shallots until softened!. Stir in onion and bacon, and cook until bacon is evenly browned!. Stir in garlic when bacon is about half done!. Remove from heat!.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil!. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente!. Drain pasta, then return it to the pot!.
In a medium bowl, whisk together egg yolks, cream, and shredded Parmesan!. Pour the bacon mixture over the pasta, then stir in the cream mixture!. Season with salt and pepper!. serves 6!.!.!.!.!.

Spaghetti Sauce:

Everyone does theirs different but here is the general way I do mine!. Not exact as I just toss most everything in as I go and taste a lot and eye-ball it!.

1 can stewed diced tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 can tomatoe paste-sometimes
1 small onion chopped
1 good sized clove of garlic chopped
Unsalted butter
Low or no sodium chicken broth
Italian seasoning
Basil
Oregano
Parsley
Dreid Chives
Pinch sugar
Pepper
Granulated Garlic
Onion powder
? tsp or less celery salt

Saute the onion and garlic until translucent and tender!. Add the tomatoes and remaining ingredients!. I like to simmer mine for at least 20-30 min!. Use over pasta with or with out meat!. In lasagna, chicken parmesan etc… You can also add a little more water and some chopped veggies and make a tomato veggie soup!.

Cook your pasta as directed- if it gives a range like 8-10 minutes, go with 8 and check

Here are some GREAT sauces

Alfredo Sauce (Quick)
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 cups milk
6 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat!. Add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring with wire whisk until smooth!. Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps!. Stir in Parmesan and pepper!. Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency!. Sauce will thicken rapidly, thin with milk if cooked too long!. Toss with hot pasta to serve!.

INGREDIENTS
4 tablespoons tomato puree
3/4 cup water
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger root
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
ground black pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon white sugar
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon mustard seed
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 pounds medium shrimp - peeled and deveined
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Place tomato puree in a measuring cup!. Add enough water to make a total measure of 1 cup, place in a medium bowl!. Stir in cream, ginger, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, cumin, 1 teaspoon salt, black pepper to taste, and sugar!. Cover and refrigerate until needed!.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over a medium-high heat!. Add the mustard seeds!. As soon as they begin to pop, add the garlic!. Stir once and add the shrimps!. Stir and fry until they just turn opaque, sprinkling with salt and pepper to taste!.
Pour in the pink sauce and stir!. As soon as the sauce is bubbling, the dish is ready to be served with hot cooked pasta or rice!.

add ingredients in order given and cook over medium heat!. stir to mix all ingredients and add water to thin sauce if desired!.
Cook your Pasta of choice and pour sauce over it

Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

Ingredients

(6 servings)

1/4 c Olive oil
1 1/2 lb Ground beef
1/2 c Onion,finely chopped
2 Cloves garlic,finely chopped
3 cn Tomato sauce(8oz)
1 cn Mushroom stems/pieces(4oz)
1/2 c Green pepper,finely chopped
1/4 c Snipped parsley
2 1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Ground pepper
1/4 ts Sugar
1/8 ts Dried basil leaves
1/8 ts Ground oregano
1 c Dry red wine
1 pk Spaghetti(16oz)
Grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

Heat oil in Dutch oven!. Cook and stir beef, onion and garlic in hot oil until beef is light brown; drain off fat!. Stir in tomato sauce, mushrooms (with liquid), green pepper, parsley, salt, pepper, sugar, basil and oregano!. Heat to boiling; reduce heat!. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 hour!.
Stir in wine!. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes!. Uncover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes longer!. While sauce is simmering, cook spaghetti as directed on package; drain but do not rinse!. Pour meat sauce over hot spaghetti!. Servewith cheese!.

Well if you want a fast recipe!.!.!.

Start off with a pre-made jar of sauce (I like Classico) then add some cut up mushroom, minced garlic, chopped white onion, and about 1 bottle of bud light! (Yes the beer) !.

While that is simmering, brown about a 1-2 lbs of ground beef!. When it's done add it to the sauce and voila!.!.!. You have a really good sauce! Use any kind of spaghetti noodles, the trick is to not over cook the pasta, and when its done I like to add a little bit of butter and garlic salt before putting the spaghetti sauce on top! 2 cans crush tomatoes, 2 puree one tomatoe paste, it!. seasoning, 1 bay leaf, garlic olive oil grated cheese, sugar

in large pot add olive oil heat and add garlic brown lightly, add cans of crush, puree and paste!. With 2 cans crush and 2 cans puree I add 4 cans water using the cans from tomatoes add it!. seasonings one bay leaf hand ful grated cheese and little sugar ( it cuts the acid)!. we cook the spaghetti for no more then 10 minutes, we then put a half of a can of any pasta sauce into a pot, then we add chopped mushrooms, capsicum, onion and a little celery, cook that in the sauce and yummy if you want it hot and spicy add some chilli flakesWww@FoodAQ@Com

for the noodles salt and butter water spag sauce buy marinera sauce from store add onions green peppers mushrooms stewed tomatoes chicken base garlic sausage and hamburger equal parts or to taste and cook on low for hour or more and that will get you started spag sauce is always better the next day Www@FoodAQ@Com
