When your making french toast...?!
I am attempting to make an almond encrusted french toast for my wife (who is still asleep - so I'd rather not wake her up by burning down the house)!.
I've done this before but can't remember for the life of me how!. You make the french toast normally, dip in the eggs, cinnamon, etc!. But right before you cook it you roll the edges in a mixture of almonds, cinnamon and sugar and then cook it!.
For whatever reason I keep burning the pan and the toast!.
Does the thickness of the bread matter!? I've turned down the pan to the point where it took a good 20 minutes to make a piece of toast! Still burning!.
