Question: I know I can subsitute cream for evaporated milk in Pumpkin Pie but!?
I only have like 3/4 cup of heavy cream!. can I mix it with milk to get the amount I need or whole milk!? And 12oz = how many cups!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are 8 oz in a cup; so 12 oz!. is a cup and a half!.
Yes you can add the milk to the cream to get the required amount of liquid, or you can substitute Soy Milk, Hemp Milk, Almond Breeze or Rice Milk!. The exture and flavor will be different but it will "work" anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes you can!. 12 ounces is 1 1/4 cups!.

I prefer evaporated milk for pumpkin pie but I'll use whatever I have on hand !. If you are using 1% or skim milk, add another egg to the filling to help set the custard!. I also add a tablespoon of melted butter but you don't have to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
