Why do you have to boil the water before you put in the macaroni and cheese?!

Question: Why do you have to boil the water before you put in the macaroni and cheese!?
I tried putting in before it boils and it turns out exactly the same! It also is this way with any other noodle product!. Why does it say that it is like a mac and cheese conspiracy!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

All pasta products are created by the manufactures to have the most optimum taste and texture when they cook for 8-11 minutes from the point they are laid softy in boiling water!. Don't forget to stir every few minutes and salt to taste!. Using your method will work to a limited degree, however it will not taste as good and the texture of the pasta will not be "al dente" which is the way it was meant to be in Italy where pasta was created in 942 B!.C!. Being a chef, these little things are important to me and my discerning taste buds can tell a major diffence!.
Happy cooking!. Good luck, best wishes and as we say in Italy, Ciao!Www@FoodAQ@Com

you take the risk of under/over cooking!. When you allow the water to boil first, you are able to cook for 10 minutes for perfect consistency!.

also,

if you use
1 egg
8 oz cottage cheese
4 oz sour cream
1 lb of shredded cheddar cheese

16 oz large mac!. noodles *cooked

mix your cheeses and egg together (reserving a little of cheddar for top layer) stir in cooked mac noodles, top with cheese back 350- 30 min!. you will have excellent mac and cheese!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The only difference is that when the water is already boiling, it tends to churn the macaroni around in the water making it less likely to stick together without being stirred!. Some noodles, such as lasagna do better if the water is only simmering!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have tried Before and After Boil!. Best results come after boil!. When I put the macaroni elbows before the macaroni became very sticky and chewy!. If you like that then go for itWww@FoodAQ@Com

Boiling the water first insures that you get the best outcome!. Sometimes, if the water heats too slowly you end up with chewy noodles!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't necessarily have to boil it, the water just has to be hot enough so the macaroni cooks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You really don't have to, but it does end up cooking in less time once the water is at a rapid boil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the water just has to be hot enough for the mac and cheeseWww@FoodAQ@Com
