Answers:
I would say about 1 level tsp of allspice and about the same of the cumin!. But to be honest if the recipe says to use whole allspice and cumin seeds then you should really try to use that!. Ground spices have a very different flavour to the whole spice and it may change the taste of teh finished dish!. Most good supermarkets should sell wholespices especially places such as Waitrose (UK)!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Information you need to know!!
? One teaspoon of ground allspice is equivalent to approximately five whole berries!. Allspice can be purchased as whole berries or a ground powder!. The whole berries have a longer shelf-life than the powdered product and they also produce more flavorful results when they're freshly ground right before using!.
Cumin's distinctive flavor and strong, warm aroma is due to its essential oil content!.
? Use 1 tsp!. of powder to seeds!.
