I know this recipe may sound weird, but realize that it's a basic, tomato-based bbq sauce (although it won't taste like it)!. The meat will be fork tender and will just fall off the bone!. I've made these a few times, and they are delicious!. You can add seasonings as you wish!.

Fennel Pork Chops

4 pork chops
2 tablespoons garlic salt
1 tablespoon fennel seed- you can also use all purpose seasoning
1 cup white wine

DIRECTIONS
Sprinkle garlic salt on both sides of the pork chops!. The garlic salt should pretty well cover the chops!.
Pour a little olive oil or other cooking oil into a skillet!. Put the pork chops in the frying pan and place fennel seeds on top of the pork chops!. 10 to 15 fennel seeds per pork chop will probably do!. Let the underside of the pork chop brown then turn over!. Once both sides are browned flip again!.
Pour the wine into frying pan; cover and reduce heat!. Simmer for 10 minutes and flip the pork chops over!. Cover them again and let them simmer for another 10 minutes!. Make sure the wine doesn't completely evaporate or the pork chops will burn!. You may have to add a little more wine to the pan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you have some cumin, mix that with just a hint of ginger/cinammon!. Apply a small amount of vegetable oil to keep them moist, and then pan fry / grill!.

Another favorite of mine is a simplistic teryaki mix: mix soy sauce, a tad bit of ginger and a reasonable amount of citrus (lemon juice, orange juice, whatever you have)!. Dip the pork chops in the mix, or pour it on!. Then, pan fry / grill as appropriate!. Top with green onion to garnish, or even herb/parsley!.

There are lots of great things to do with pork, but these are about the simplest I can think of and the wife (not a pork fan) loves!Www@FoodAQ@Com

This takes 2 min to prep and tastes really good!. Be fairly generous w/ the seasonings!.

since making pork chops this way, i have never gone back to any other recipes for cooking them!.

tear pieces of foil into 1' x 1' pieces!.
slice an onion into large rings!.
place the rings intot he middle of each piece of foil!.

season the chops however you like!. get a pan searing hot with just a tiny bit of oil in it!. put in the pork, the higher the heat the better because you are just trying to quickly brown the outside of the chops without cooking them through the center!.

place one piece of pork in the center of each piece of foil, with the onions elevating the chops from being directly on the foil!. put a couple dollaps of butter in each one, seal tightly and bake at 320 degrees for 40 minutes!. extremely tender and flavorful!.

If you have apples, slice them, saute them with onions, salt pepper and a little olive oil and butter, cinnamon!. pour over the finished pork chops!. or if you have orange marmalade, add a 1/3 cup water and mix the marmalade in bring it up to a boil, and then reduce it!. pour over finished porkchops!.

honey, soy and orange juice is good as a marinade!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
