Roasted Garlic Teriyaki and Mushroom Burgers
Ingredients:
2 pounds lean ground beef,
1/3 cup plus 1 Tbsp!. Kikkoman Roasted Garlic Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce, divided!.
3/4 teaspoon black pepper,
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced!.
1 tablespoon vegetable oil,
6 thin slices onion,
6 slices (1 oz!. each) Monterey Jack cheese,
6 hamburger buns, split and toasted!.
Mayonnaise!.

Instructions:

Thoroughly combine beef, 1/3 cup roasted garlic teriyaki sauce and pepper; shape into 6 patties using BurgerMate!. Cook patties on grill 4 to 5 inches from hot coals 5 minutes!. Meanwhile, sauté mushrooms in hot oil in large skillet over medium heat 4 minutes!. Remove from heat and stir in remaining 1 Tbsp!. roasted garlic teriyaki sauce!. Turn patties over and cook 5 minutes longer, or until thoroughly cooked, topping with onion and cheese slices during last few minutes of cooking time!. To serve, spread bun halves with mayonnaise; place burgers on bottom halves and spoon mushroom mixture equally over patties!.

Plain ground beef 80% or you could add chopped onions make it into a patty and grill outside is the best!. I like mine well done-no pink!. I like many different things on mine but always cheese:
then either A-1 sauce and a thick slice of raw onion
or Yellow mustard French's, Heinz ketchup, Miracle Whip, dill pickle slices (or candied dill), red or yellow tomatoes, thick slice of raw onion and a leaf of lettuce!.
You could even cook mushrooms, chopped onions and peppers and add to the top of your burger too-I like Swiss cheese on this one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ground chuck, grilled to medium, topped with sharp cheddar or pepper jack cheese, a goodly leaf of lettuce, a slice of ripe tomato, salt, pepper and cheap yellow mustard, sandwiched in a buttered, toasted burger bun, not a Kaiser roll or anything like that, just a good old 8-in-a-pack burger bun!. Accompany that with some baked beans (making sure to have some leftovers for brekkie in the morning), perhaps a pickle or two, chips/crisps and a frosty adult beverage and I'm a happy camper!. My perfect burger is:
Ground round
Make a ball then flatten to make a patty
Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder
Put it on the grill
Cook until well done
Add a slice of swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms, light mayo, on a whole wheat bun!.

I don't add bread crumbs or crackers to my patty!. Then you have a fried meatloaf!.

? Ground beef should be high in fat content (80% lean is just great)!.
? Let beef get to room temperature before cooking!.
? Don't handle beef too much!. Just quickly form them into patty shape!.
? Liberally salt and pepper patties!.
? Grill!. Keep some red in there!. (Not great for health standards, but great for flavor)!.

It all depends on where I am!. At home it is just mayo, ketchup, onion, and lettuce!. At a good old greasy spoon place, I like just mustard! This week going to Red Robin for my free birthday burger and I will probably have bacon, cheese (cheddar), mayo, those skinny french fried onions, and some bbq sauce!.
