I need new recipes to use instead of my traditional boring daily dinner menu.?!
I manage a family of four!. Two small children (2 and 5) a husband who is gone about 13 hours out of a day and myself, who works, manages the house, the children, all obligations and works part time running my own business, which requires more time than some others may!. I find myself buying box foods, such as hamburger and chicken helpers and etc!. I do ocasionally make homemade meals, maybe baked spaghetti and chilli beans!. I want to find great recipes that are simple and semi quick, things that have lots of great taste and healthy at the same time!. I do use a lot of boneless and skilnless chicken!. I would prefer not just the main meal, but also side dish recipes!. Please help me swap out my old menu with some of your beloved recipes!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Definitely drag out the crockpot-
http://www!.crock-pot!.com/recipescatland!.!.!.!.
Consider spending a few hours on a weekend doing some investment cooking - portions that you can freeze and then defrost later in the week!. Chili, soups, meatballs, casseroles and enchiladas all freeze and thaw nicely!.
Chili can be used as is, or poured over baked potatoes and covered with cheese, or on nachos, or on cheese omelets,
Serve soup with a green salad and garlic cheese toast!.
Use the meatballs with spaghetti and a green salad or as meatball sandwiches with frozen french fries or onion rings!.
Serve the enchiladas with shredded lettuce, sour cream, refried beans and/or Spanish rice!.
Shoot me an email if you'd like my recipe for meatballs, chili or split pea soup!.
Good luck! Www@FoodAQ@Com

cook lots of chicken/vegetable broth and you can freeze it and then you have a base for different kind of soups (chicken noodles, tomato soup-delicious with pasta or some people like it with rice!) etc!.
1 small can of whole chestnuts in water (grind it in food processor), 1 package frozen spinach (chopped) - thawed (make sure you squeeze/drain the water out) , fresh green onion (chopped), 3 table spoons of mayo and 3 table spoons of sour cream - mix it all together (no salt needed!) and eat with French bread -mmm delicious!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well in terms of Side dishes, I certainly recommend frozen vegetables but don't get the ones with the sauces (or at least not often)!. Simply steam them or microwave them with a bit of butter and some herbs (dried or fresh)!.
For sides again I would stay away from the heavy sauces - I really enjoy Couscous with a bit of olive oil and garlic and maybe some fresh herbs in it!. Or chop up a tomato and cucumber and add that, it's nice and versatile and light!.
For main dishes, going for simplicity, I love frozen tortolini!. Great to add to asoup, or as a main course!. Maybe with a tomato sauce, or butter and garlic, or pesto, or sometimes I will use Sweet potato soup asa sauce for the tortolini or even cream of mushroom soup!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is an easy dinner I whip up and its delish!. If you're tired of chicken, get some frozen shrimp, devained *time saver* Before you head out for work set aside the amount of shrimp you're going to serve (enough for 4) and put it in a ziplock in the fridge to defrost!. At dinner time, put about a cup or so of cherry or grape tomatoes on a baking dish with sides (I line it with foil for easy clean up)!. Drizzle the tomatoes with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and put them in a 325 oven for about 15 minutes or until they burst!. Meanwhile, boil a pot of organic or whole wheat linguine and in a saute pan with olive oil and a bit of butter (this is optional but I like the taste with the shrimp) and cook up the shrimp!. Turn off the pan when the shrimp are done, drain the pasta and dump it in the saute pan with the shrimp!. Toss the pasta and shrimp until its coated with the extra oil and butter from cooking the shrimp!. I add a bit of pepper and I have added an additional veggie, i've used a spinach and tomatoe version and a mushroom and tomatoe version!.
Spinach:
Add the spinach once you've added the pasta and stir, cover and let it wilt a bit, add the tomatoes!. Stir gently so you don't destroy the tomatoes and sprinkle with grated parmesean cheese and stir!.
Mushrooms: I saute the mushrooms first, drain them and cook the shrimp, add the mushrooms and pasta etc!.
I like this recipe I made up because it's healthy and versatile, you can use up left over veggies and chicken or shrimp!. Its fast too!. The basic formula is:
1!. roast tomatoes
2!. boil noodles ( you can choose a different shape if you like)
3!. saute meat
4!. drain noodles and add to meat in saute pan
5!. stir and add tomatoes
6!. sprinkle with cheese, stir and eat!
I've also sprinkled green onions over the top!. It's pretty cheap too so thats a bonus!. You can feed a lot for a little and kids will like picking the veggies they want and the roasted tomatoes are sweet so small children can associate them with spaghetti sauce!. Once you've got the basic components down the sky is the limit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
