Stilton Twists


You can make the pastry dough ahead of time and freeze it!. Just before guests arrive, pop the twists in the oven!.
Ingredients

1 package puff pastry sheet

4 ounces Stilton Blue Cheese, grated

paprika


Method

1!. Thaw puff pastry sheet per package instructions!. Unfold on a cutting board and dust with paprika!. Turn over and sprinkle with grated Stilton!.

2!. Place second sheet on top and roll lightly with a rolling pin!. Dust with paprika!.

3!. Cut sheet in half and the separate halves into
3/8" strips and give each three twists!.

4!. Lightly grease a cookie sheet or line with parchment paper; place twists pressing ends firmly to anchor!. Cook at 425 degrees F or 225 degrees C for six to nine minutes!.

Grilled Steak With Olive and Stilton Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
4 (6 ounce) beef tenderloin steaks, 1 1/4 inch thick
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup thinly sliced shallot (or chopped onion)
1/2 cup black olives or green olive, sliced
1/2 cup port wine
1/4 cup crumbled Stilton cheese
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon dried chipotle powder
Directions
1Heat butter in a heavy medium saucepan over medium heat!.
2Add shallots and sauté for 2 minutes, stirring frequently!.
3Add broth and wine and bring to a boil!.
4Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until sauce has reduced to 1/2 cup (about 20 minutes)!.
5Meanwhile season steaks with salt, chipotle powder and pepper!.
6Grill or broil until cooked to desired doneness!.
7Remove sauce from heat and stir in olives, cheese and thyme!.
8Arrange steaks on warm plates and top with sauce

Pork Tenderloin With Stilton & Port
Ingredients
1 tablespoon salad oil
2-3 pork tenderloins (about 1 1/2 lbs)
1 cup tawny port
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup whipping cream
4 ounces Stilton cheese, crumbled
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
Directions
1Preheat a 3 or 5-quart sauté pan over medium-high heat until rim of pan is hot!. Add oil and wait another minute!. Add pork and cook, turning as needed, until browned on all sides (about 4 minutes)!.
2Transfer meat to a 9 x 13 inch baking pan and bake in a 400 F oven until a meat thermometer inserted in thickest part of tenderloin registers 160 (about 15 minutes)!.
3Meanwhile, discard fat from sauté pan and add port and broth!. Bring to a boil over high heat; then boil, uncovered, until reduce to about 3/4 cup (about 3 minutes)!. Stir in cream and continue to boil, stirring, until sauce is covered with large, shiny bubbles (about 5 more minutes)!. Add cheese and stir until melted; stir in chiles!. Remove from heat!.
4To serve, thinly slice meat across the grain!. Fan out slices on individual plates and spoon sauce over them!.

Stilton Mushrooms (Easy Microwave Fix)
Ingredients
8 ounces mushrooms (lrg & flat)
2 ounces butter
2 shallots (finely chopped)
6 ounces Stilton cheese
1 ounce fresh breadcrumb
salt and pepper (to taste)
Directions
1Carefully remove the stalks from the mushrooms & chop finely!. Wipe the caps w/damp kitchen paper!.
2Place half the butter in a bowl & microwave on HIGH for 1 minute!. Then add the mushroom stalks + shallots & cook on HIGH for 2 minutes!. Cool for 5 minutes!.
3Crumble in the cheese!. Then add breadcrumbs & salt + pepper to taste & mix well!. Divide mixture among the mushroom caps!.
4Place the remaining butter in a lrg shallow dish & microwave on HIGH for 1 minute!. Place the stuffed mushrooms in the dish, cook for 2 minutes & serve immediately!.

Ingredients
3 1/2 ounces butter
8 ounces Stilton cheese
4 tablespoons flat leaf parsley, chopped
3 garlic cloves, crushed
coarse sea salt
fresh ground black pepper
Directions
1Mash the butter, Stilton, parsley and garlic together with a fork until well combined; season to taste!.
2Spoon the butter on to a small square of parchment paper and roll into a cylinder about 1 1/2in thick!. Twist the ends to secure!. Chill for at least 1 hour to firm up before using, or freezeWww@FoodAQ@Com

Stilton, Bacon and Mushroom Starter

A great recipe for busy people who are short of time!. The strong flavours in the Stilton and bacon give this easy recipe an elaborate feel!.

Serving Size: 6

Ingredients

? 1 tablespoon oil
? 1 chopped onion
? 500g/1 lb baby button mushrooms halved
? 12 rashers streaky bacon chopped
? 125 grams/4oz blue Stilton cheese roughly chopped
? 225g/8oz pack cream cheese
? 150 millilitres/1/4 pint double cream
? 15 grams pack fresh chives snipped
? 75 grams/3 oz fresh breadcrumbs
? 2 teaspoons paprika
? black pepper

Method

1!. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C/375 degrees F/Gas mark 5!. Heat the oil and fry the
onions, mushrooms and bacon together until browned!.
2!. Share between four ramekin dishes!.
3!. Beat the Stilton together with the cream cheese and cream and stir in most of
the chives, reserving a few for a garnish!. Season and spoon over the top of the mushroom
mixture!.
4!. Toss the breadcrumbs in the paprika and sprinkle over the top of the Stilton
mixture!. Cook for 20-25 minutes, until browned and bubbling!.

I used to work in a pub and a customer used to get half stiltons cheap!. We used to prod holes in with a fork and pour port over it then eat with biscuits, delicious!.
also melted in a pan with cream and poured over a rare steak!.!.!.!.!.!.!.omg heaven!

Sorry just seen the everyday bit!. For a sandwich crumble some stilton in a bowl, add chopped apple and celerey and combine with a bit of mayo!. Use as a sandwich filling its bloody fab!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Best i find is to nearly boil some milk in a pan,then crumble cheese into it!. Then, wait for it to cool and combine with mayonnaise!. It makes a really nice salad dressing and/or dip for breadsticks etcWww@FoodAQ@Com

You can add it to a regular cheese sauce!.
Adding some to a quiche gives it a nice bite to the flavour rather than just cheddar!.
Trying putting some on a piece of french bread & toasting then splash some brown sauce Www@FoodAQ@Com

This one is really easy but a delicious sandwich!.

Good rye or pumpernickel bread, cold roast beef, a slice of sweet red or vidalia onion and then a full layer of Stilton cheese!.
