Yes it will work!. I have previously used graham cracker pie crust and it has turned out fairley well!. I hope it works out for you and good luck on the pie !Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have a recipe that works with graham cracker crust:

Pumpkin Chiffon Pie
1 9" prepared graham cracker pie crust
2 packages instant pudding mix, vanilla
1 can pumpkin
1 teaspoon cinnamon
? teaspoon ginger
? teaspoon ground cloves
2 cups milk
In a large bowl, combine the milk with pudding mix!. Beat with electric mixer for 1 minute!. Add pumpkin and spices, beat additional minute!. Pour filling into pie shell!. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours before serving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do you have any butter, margarine or vegetable oil!? Because I could find and post some links to pastry recipes using those ingredients instead of shortening!.

Otherwise, I suppose you could try it, but I don't know how it would turn out!. I will post a link to my favorite site for recipes though:

Yeah, it should be fine!. Bake the graham cracker crust a bit and let it cool before you put the pie filling in!. That's how it's done for cheesecakes and cream pies!.

Sounds really good actually!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It sure work, just watch the baking times and see that the shell doesn't burn because it is so much thinner than a regular pie crust!. But there have been other pies that this works for!. Good Luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
