If he doesn't like sauces then you cant go wrong with a steak served with chips!. All you have to do is fry the steak (rib eye is nice) if your not sure that's its cooked to your liking just put a small cut in the middle and have a look!. you can even use oven chips which are dead easy serve with whatever veg you want!. Hope that helps good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Why not do a nice casserole!? Brown off chicken/beef/pork - whatever you fancy, remove and brown off a couple of onions and a little garlic!. Put meat back in, add some stock (chicken, veg, or beef) and throw in lots of lovely seasonal veggies!. You can then add a little red wine to make it a bit richer!.
Bring to the boil, reduce the heat, cover and simmer away until he gets home!. Alternatively when everything is in the casserole dish, place in the oven on gas mark 6 for an hour, then reduce to 4 or 5 (depending on your oven) and allow to cook away for a few hours!.
Serve in a big bowl with some nice crusty bread and butter!.
With this recipe you are not running around the house like a stressed mad thing trying to get a nice dinner sorted!. You can prepare everything, wash up and all you need to do is serve when he gets in - nice relaxed misses and a great tea - he will love it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
