The seeds are the hottest part of the pepper!. Crush those from a habanero pepper and put them in there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Lose that recipe!
5 lb lean ground beef
2 15-oz cans pinto beans
2 15-oz red beans
2 15-oz cans petit diced tomatoes
two medium red onions, diced
2 cups water
2 tbsp chili powder
tbsp dried celery flakes
tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cumin
12 oz tomato paste
12 (twelve) fresh habaneros, finely diced (wear gloves or prepare to weep!)
The trick is to add the diced habaneros at the very end - in fact, if you want REALLY spicy chili, add them, stir them in and take the chili off the heat immediately!.
I said use ground beef! Freshly ground LEAN beef is no more unhealthy than ground turkey - and I'm sorry, but turkey chili is - well, it's for the birds! It absolutely RUINS a good chili!. C'mon, it's not like you're eating nothing but fat and cholesterol every meal!.

If you are really serious about making it spicy, you could add the hottest pepper in the world to your chili!.
"The Naga Jolokia (also known as Bhut Jolokia, Ghost Chili, Ghost Pepper, Naga Morich) is a chili pepper that grows in Bangladesh, northeastern India (Assam, Nagaland, and Manipur), and Sri Lanka!. In 2006, it was confirmed by Guinness World Records to be the hottest chili in the world!." (wikipedia)
A word of warning though: "The pepper is used as a spice in food or eaten alone!. One seed from a Naga Jolokia can produce sustained intense pain sensations in the mouth for up to 30 minutes before subsiding!. Extreme care should be taken when ingesting the pepper and its seeds, so as to not get it in the eyes!."Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know where you are located, but in California you can go to your grocery market and they have a "hispanic" section!. There they sell chili powders and dried chiles in bags!. Try either what is called a "Chile Japones"(japanese chili) or "Chile de Arbol"(tree chili) by the Brand of "El Mexicano" those are spicy and flavorful! and if it's still not enough you can just look for a chili called "chile piquin" they are tiny tiny chili's that are insanely spicy! Good luck Www@FoodAQ@Com
That chili should be spicy, however, if your cayenne or chili powder is old they can loose some of their kick!.!.!.you can always add extra chili and cayenne and habanero!.!.!.i also add stuff like texas pete and tabasco sauce!. Another thing that could happen is the chili will get spicier!.!.!.sometimes the chili can taste spicier the day after!.!.!.after all the flavors and spices have a chance to marry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I think if you cook all from scratch no canned beans!. Start off real slow and cook the raw beans in seasoned water with onions and all your peppers and seasoning!. While it's boiling add about a small capful of vinegar, this will intensify the flavors in your chilli and make it absorb the spicy flavor you want!. Oh yeah and day two it's even better once the vinegar has cooked out you do not smell or taste it!. You will only taste the wonderful flavors in your chilli!.
Hope this helps

I would not use stewed tomatoes and next time use a can or two of Ro-Tel tomatoes!.!.!.you could use spicy or regular or one can of each!.
Use more Jalapenos and habanero peppers next time, and more Cayenne pepper!. You could add some of those things now, and let it simmer for a while longer!.
Good Luck!

Are you sure that you used habanero peppers, with the seeds and ribs!? Typically they are small and a bright orange color!. One should be enough to blow your socks off!. You could also add crushed piquin peppercorns and chipotle peppers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
That's a lot of meat and beans so it can handle the heat!.
Add Red Pepper Flakes and some Cumin, keep in mind though, that it will probably get spicier as it sits - but it seems that you like it spicy anyway!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
