Here is a recipe where instead of mayo you can use your favorite salad dressing!.!.
You could also try plain yogurt or sour cream instead of mayo!.!.

INGREDIENTS
Salad
4 eggs
2 packages (20 oz each) refrigerated red-skinned potato wedges or diced potatoes with onions
1 cup sliced celery (1 1/2 to 2 stalks)
1 cup chopped red bell pepper (1 medium)
Dressing
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise or salad dressing
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill weed
1/4 cup yellow mustard
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt




DIRECTIONS
1!. In 1 1/2-quart saucepan, place eggs; add enough water to cover by 1 inch!. Heat to boiling!. Immediately remove from heat; cover and let stand 15 minutes!. Drain; rinse with cold water!. Place eggs in bowl of ice water; let stand 10 minutes!. Drain!. Peel eggs; coarsely chop!.
2!. Meanwhile, in 3-quart saucepan, heat 4 cups water to boiling!. Reduce heat to medium!. Add potatoes; cook 5 to 8 minutes or until tender!. Drain; rinse with cold water to cool!. Drain well!.
3!. In large bowl, mix cooled cooked potatoes, the celery, bell pepper and chopped hard-cooked eggs!. In small bowl, mix all dressing ingredients until well blended!. Add dressing to salad; toss gently to coat!. Cover; refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving!.

You could use mustard!.

Here's a good one:

RED POTATO SALAD WITH DIJON MUSTARD

2 lbs!. red potatoes
1 c!. sliced celery
1/3 c!. sliced scallions

DRESSING:

1/3 c!. salad oil
1/4 c!. red wine vinegar (a little less if you want)
2 tbsp!. Dijon mustard
1 tsp!. marjoram
1 minced clove garlic

Boil 2 pounds red potatoes, cut up and chill!. Add 1 cup sliced celery and 1/3 cup sliced scallions!. Separately mix the dressing ingredients and toss mixture with potatoes, celery and scallions!.

well italian potato salad uses no mayo but chopped onion and red wine vinegar and olive oil!.!.!.
use as little or more of each depending on your taste, also, omit the egg if you use egg!.!.!.!.
this pot salad is basically, potatoes, raw onion, parsley, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper!.!.!.!.!.

what about miracle whip!? better taste than mayo!.

There really is not a good subsitute other than oil and make it a oil based (Italian dressing)!.

You would probably like German Potato Salad rather than American Potato Salad!.

Ranch dressing!. I have a fiesta style potato salad recipe that I use ranch dressing with instead of mayo!. Sometimes I use part Miracle Whip and ranch dressing or just the ranch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

try plain yogurt and some herbs,salt and pepper!.you may even try adding some "egg beaters" homogenized eggs to mix with the yogurt
for an even closer replica to mayo!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
