What is the green runny sauce you get with Poppadoms?!


Question: What is the green runny sauce you get with Poppadoms!?
In our Indian when you get poppadoms you get a 4 dish rotating service which has 4 different toppings for poppadoms!.
1) A Very Peppery chutney
2) a sort of honey glaze one
3) some chopped onion tomato cucumber mix
4) a green sort of minty flavoured sauce

What is the name of this sauce and how is it made!?

(Any tips on reproducing the chopped veg mix in #3 also!? they seem to have spices or herbs in on it too !!)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ingredients

2 medium onions
1 salt to taste
1 tablespoon tamarind pulp or 1 tsp
1 instant tamarind
1/4 cup hot water
2 tablespoon brown sugar
2 firm ripe tomatoes
1 tablespoon finely shredded fresh
1 ginger
3 fresh red or green chillies
1 seeded and sliced
2 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger

It is called riata!.

Ingredients

? pot / 225g natural yoghurt
1 clove crushed garlic
? tsp fresh chopped mint
1 inch grated cucumber

Method
Simply mix all together

#3 sounds like spiced onions!.

* 1 teaspoon lemon juice
* 1 tablespoon sugar
* 1 pinch salt
* 1 teaspoon freshly chopped coriander
* 1 teaspoon freshly chopped fenugreek leaves or 1/2 tsp seeds
* 1 teaspoon chilli powder or paprika

preparation method

1!. In a medium bowl, stir onion and ketchup until onion is thinly and evenly coated!. Mix in the lemon juice!. Season with sugar, coriander, fenugreek and chili powder!. Mix thoroughly!.

MINT SAUCE RECIPE
Ingredients:


3 teaspoons ground Mint Leaves (Pudina Leaves)
3 teaspoons Sugar (Cheeni)
1 teaspoon Vinegar (Sirka)
1 teaspoon Salt (Namak)

How to make mint sauce:

* Boil together vinegar, sugar and salt!.
* Put the ground mint leaves in a bowl and on it pour the sweetened vinegar!.
* Stand aside to cool before serving!.

Its mint raita, ours in normally white with green bits, its just plain yoghurt with mint, tried to make it myself but its never the same
1) I would imagine is LIME PICKLE which is hot

number 4 is mint and yoguart sauce it is meant to calm the hotness down from the indian sauce
