Ideas for "Christmas goodies"?!
Looking for some new ideas--
I used to always make peanut butter balls, choc covered pretzels, haystacks, fudge!.
Still planning to do the haystacks and change the fudge to peanut butter, but I'm ready for something new for the rest!.
Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Stained Glass Candy
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
2/3 cups light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon food coloring
1 teaspoon Gourmet Flavoring (Use cinnamon for red, peppermint for green, or lemon for yellow!.)
Confectioners’ sugar (optional)
Lightly oil a jellyroll pan; set aside!.
In a large saucepan, combine sugar, water, and corn syrup!. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves!. Bring mixture to a boil without stirring!. When syrup reaches a temperature of 260°, add food coloring!. (Do not stir; boiling action will incorporate color into syrup!.) Remove from heat when mixture reaches 300°, or when a drop of syrup placed in ice water becomes brittle and makes a snapping noise!. When mixture stops boiling, add flavoring and stir!. Pour mixture onto prepared jelly-roll pan and let cool!.
Dust with confectioners’ sugar (if desired) and break into bite-size pieces!. Store in an airtight container!.
