If a recipe calls for bread cubes, am I cutting off the ends?!
Trying to get a head start with the new Thanksgiving recipes I've found on-line!. This one recipe for bread pudding calls for bread cubes, am I leaving the crusts on or off!? Thanks in advance!Www@FoodAQ@Com

For bread pudding, use the BEST bread you can get!. Not the soft stuff you buy commercially, but homemade bread or bakery bread!. The other stuff will get too mushy!.
I make bread pudding all the time!. Leave the crusts on!. You will have enough liquid to soften them up when you add the milk and egg!. (My recipe requires they soak for 20 minutes before baking!.) And you will not know in the pudding whether they are crusts or centerpieces, if it weren't for the color!.
Good luck and I LOVE bread pudding!!

You can leave them on, but you might want to take them off!. That way all the pieces will have the same consistency and not have some with tough crusts on them!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I would leave the crusts on!. It will give you some texture!. I always leave them on for stuffing or bread puddings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
just take 1 loaf of bread and cut into cubes!. or just tear it up!. Crust ON!. gives it some color!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
If it doesn't specify, it's probably up to you!. There's nothing wrong with the crust, though!Www@FoodAQ@Com
