Answers:
how about inside a pepper!? or fried tortilla bowls!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can make a cornbread bowl if you really want to by baking it in a large oven proof bowl, then hollowing it out!. Or you might consider an old fashioned "frito pie", wherein you top crushed fritos with your chili, chopped onions, and shredded cheese!. I make chili that I often top with a corn spoonbread made with Jiffy cornbread mix, sour cream, creamed corn, eggs, whole kernal corn, shredded cheddar cheese and some diced green chilis!. Top your chili with the mixture and bake until golden!. You might also consider serving your chili in steamed corn husks with steamed masa (tamale style)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, it's not unrealistic to serve it in a cornbread "bowl"!. I thought about this and I think this is how I would approach it!. How about this!.!.!.make up a couple of dozen cornbread muffins!. Once they've cooled, remove them from the muffin tin!. Only upon serving them do you-slice off the top of the muffin (horzontally)!. Don't do this in advance or the cornbread might get too dry!. Place the muffin in a little paper bowl for support!. Then, take a small spoon and scoop out some of the center but don't dig into the bottom of the muffin!. Next, take your spoon and press down the inside of the muffin gently to create a little bowl!. Add in about 1 T!. of chili, top with a little bit of finely minced white onion and a sprinke of cheddar cheese!. Before serving it, place the "top" of the muffin that you slice off back on top or just to the side like a little lid or hat!. I think the presentation might bring a smile to the judges!. Just make sure your chili is good!. I'm sure it will be! Good luck to you in your chili cook-off! I hope this idea works out should you decide to use it!.-KarenWww@FoodAQ@Com

How is it judged!? Are there say 4 judges or do tons ofpeople come by for samples!? If you are sending it to a set number of judges thenthe corn bread muffin idea would work!. But if you have having a a bunch of people coming by for small samples then that is not possible!.So just cubed or crumbled then just sprinkle it on top as each sample gets served!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Buy a few/how many servings, of round bread loaves!. Cut top out, pour chilli in, add shredded cheese, sour cream and cover with top of Bowl!.

also, what a really tasty idea , is to toast your bowls in the over first!. Then take out, cool, and pour chili in!. Hmmmm, that would be so good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you should serve it in little "bowls" of bread!. Add nice toppings such as cheese and olives and stick a tortilla chip inside!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

its a chili cook off!. offer the chili no sides no garnish!. thats how chili is judgedWww@FoodAQ@Com
