Is there a substitute for cornmeal in cooking?!


Question: Is there a substitute for cornmeal in cooking!?
i'm trying to make cornbread but i don't have any cornmeal, is there something else i could use!? or even try using frozen/canned corn and mince it up really really really fine in a blender or something!?
or does corn starch work aswell!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

cornmeal = substitutes: polenta OR corn flour (gives baked goods a lighter texture) OR (if using cornmeal for breading) crush corn chips in a blender until they have the consistency of cornmeal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
