What's an impressive dessert that I can make the day before Thanksgiving?!

Question: What's an impressive dessert that I can make the day before Thanksgiving!?
My family moved across country, and I am still here for college!. I can't go "home" for Thanksgiving, so I am having dinner with my boyfriend's family!. I want to bring some kind of dessert but I need to make it the day before!. We'll be leaving around 6PM the night before Thanksgiving because we live 3 hours away!. Now, his Mom is a great baker, so I'm hoping for something simple like candy!. What can I make that will hold up!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

RRay has a really cute recipe in the Holiday issue that just came out for Pretzel Turtles!. It's a carmel (the wrapped kind in the bag) flattened with a rolling pin and wrapped around a pretzel nugget then dipped in melted semi sweet chocolate (double boiler for melting) and then coated with crushed almonds !. Let stand 3 hrs to set and put in a pretty basket tied with raffia and maybe some faux leaves!. Good luck!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is great because you can make it the day before and freeze it overnight!. It holds up well traveling!. You can serve it frozen or pull it out of the freezer a little while before serving!.

Peanut butter pie

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup milk
1 (16 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crusts ( I prefer the chocolate crusts)

Beat together cream cheese and confectioners' sugar!. Mix in peanut butter and milk!. Beat until smooth!. Fold in whipped topping!.
Spoon into two 9 inch graham cracker pie shells; cover, and freeze until firm!. You can top with drizzled chocolate sauce or crushed peanut butter cups!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oreo Truffles

1 1lb 2oz package of Oreo cookies
1 8 oz package of cream cheese
2 boxes of Bakers Semi-sweet chocolate

Remove 9 cookies from the package!. Crush them into fine crumbs in a ziploc bag with a can or riolling pin!.

Place the other 36 cookies into another large ziplock bag and crush them the same way, but they can be a bit coarser!.

Mix the 36 cookies with the cream cheese until well mixed!.

Melt the chocolate in a small shallow bowl!. (Put in a microwave safe bowl on "defrost" for 30 seconds at a time and stir!. Be careful not to burn it!.)

Roll the cookie mixture into 1inch balls and dip in melted chocolate!. Place on waxed paper lined cookie sheet and sprinkle with remaining crumbs!.

Refridgerate for 1 hour!. Store in airtight container in the refridgerator for longest freshness!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
