How to make cookies not so crunchy and hard?!

Question: How to make cookies not so crunchy and hard!?
Everytime I homemake cookies, after letting them sit for like an hour or two they'll get hard, and instead of them being really soft they're just not so nice to eat!.

Is there something I'm missing!? Do I have to like, add something extra in the mixture or what!?

Thanks(:Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
add a small package of vanilla pudding mix when you make the cookies also store them in a plastic bag or airtight container!. Another tip: if you want them uniform in size, use a small ice cream scoop to scoop them (do NOT use a regular sized ice cream scoop) when you put them on the baking sheet!. Enjoy!

Here's the recipe that I use:

You may want to make your cookies bigger!. It seems like recipes recommend a small amount of cookie dough per cookie, no more than 1 tbsp!. This is so that the yield looks huge, something like 48 cookies!. Make your cookies bigger than the recipe says!. They will flatten out in the oven, and because they are bigger they won't get as hard!. Leave more space between the cookie dough balls, although there is nothing wrong with square cookies that you have to cut apart!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are doing just fine, perhaps a little too much!.

Take the cookies out about 5 - 6 minutes earlier than you think they are 'done'!.

Sugar goes to an extremely high Temperature, also the oils will continue to cook after you pull it out of the oven!.

You will be tickled with how moist your cookies are!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Have your oven temp checked; it may be too hot!. You can pick up a thermometer at any home goods store!. Don't bake more than one tray full at a time!. Check to make sure you're following the recipe exactly!. Too much baking soda or baking powder can do that!. You may also be baking them for too long!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put a piece of bread in the container that you store the cookies inWww@FoodAQ@Com

dont cook them for as longWww@FoodAQ@Com
