Question: I want to make a cake or something but only have 1 egg!.!.!?
I have flour (normal and self raising), sugar, cocoa powder, milk, 1 egg, butter!.!. What can I make!? Recipes in grams if possible please!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg

1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup water

1/4 cup butter
4 teaspoons flour
Pinch salt
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups icing (confectioners') sugar
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup chopped walnuts


Cocoa Cake
Directions:

Cake:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F!. In mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy!.

Mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt together!. Mix water and vanilla together!.

Remove beaters and add flour mixture to egg mixture alternately with water!. Fold until smooth!.

Spread batter in a greased 8 inch square pan!. Bake for 30 minutes, until top of cake springs back when touched lightly!. Remove from oven and cool!.

Creamy Nut Icing:
Melt butter!. Sprinkle in flour and salt!. Stir to blend!. Remove from heat!.

Stir in milk, all at once!. Return to moderate heat and cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth (don't worry if it separates a little)!.

Remove from heat and stir in icing sugar and vanilla!. Set in a pan of ice water and stir until the frosting is thick enough to spread!. Stir in nuts!.

One Egg Cake

Ingredients
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter flavor shortening
2/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup milk
1 egg

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit!. (Gas Mark 4)
Grease and flour a 9 inch x 9 inch pan!.
Sift dry ingredients together!.
Add shortening, the 2/3 cup milk, and the vanilla; beat for 2 minutes!.
Add the 1/3 cup milk and egg; beat for 2 more minutes!.
Pour into prepared pan!.
Bake for about 45-50 minutes or until done!. You might check a little earlier because my oven runs cool!. If doubling or tripling the recipe, you'll have to increase the cooking time substantially!.

UPSIDE DOWN CAKE:!.
If making pineapple upside down cake, use the strained juice in the batter, reducing the milk by the amount of juice used!.
Drop pieces of butter and sprinkle brown sugar on pan!.
Lay pineapple rings down!.
Pour cake batter on top!.

You can make a sponge cake by having the same weight of butter, sugar, self raising flour and egg!. In your case simply weigh the egg then add that much of the other ingredients, and add whatever flavouring you want!.

A one egg cake may not be very big though!. Maybe make some individual cakes instead!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You know you can make a cake without an egg because im a vegetarian and i don't eat egg, so instead of putting egg i just put two spoon of water and the cake comes out and also tastes the same!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
