Question: Can you make pap rellenas with boxed mashed potatoes!?

I like idaho boxed mashed potatoes and i make mine really stiff!.!.!. ( my dad says i can make them into a ball and use them as cement) Can i use them to make papa rellenas if i don't want to make mashed potatoes from scratch!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
