Any ideas for broken up christmas cake/crumbs?!
Just made an amazing Christmas cake but tripped and dropped it on the work top so now it's all broken! What can I do with it!? I spent a fortune on ingredients so don't want to just throw it out! Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't mix it with egg and cook it again! That did make me laugh though!.
You could mix it with chocolate and make fruity freezer bars or something!? Christmas cake truffles - mix them with melted chocolate and roll in vermicelli!. Go on google and have a look!. If you still want to be eating christmas cake on christmas day though, I suggest you start again!. What was so expensive about it!? Christmas cake shouldn't be expensive!. Just buy the cheapo dried fruit to put in it!. As it matures it will moisten anyway!. Don't waste time with fancy recipes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Use it as a crumble!.
Put a layer of the crumbs on the bottom of a rectangular pan!. Spread with a can of your favorite fruit pie filling!. Put another layer of cake crumbs on the top!. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over the top!. Bake until fruit is bubbly!.
Or, layer the crumbs in pretty glasses or parfait glasses!. Then, put pie filling, pudding, or ice cream on top!. Put another layer of crumbs, more filling, and continue layering!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Whisk 1 egg to 1 cup of milk ratio mixture (enough to cover the cake)
Pour over, place casserole in a 9 x 12 pan with an inch of water in it
Bake at 350 uncovered until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean!.

Don't try to re bake with the egg as instructed above-you'll get a very large and expensive mistake!

Put it into a pudding basin, seal with foil and steam for 2 hours, and you've got your Christmas pudding
