Question: What can I make for supper!? Healthy and yummy!?
I have vegetables and pasta, a lot of ingredients and if I don't have what you say I can go buy some because I live like 5 minutes away from Sobeys!. I need to be healthy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Simple, simple!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.saute your vegetables in your favorite seasonings and cook your pasta al dente!. Save a bit of your pasta water and add in some vegetable stock or bouillon, fresh spinach, garlic and thyme, parsley and the juice of one lemon, a bit of flour and butter and you've got a light sauce with your fresh veggies, all in one pan! I am trying something new and pretty healthy tonight myself, so you can give it try too if you'd like:

Mushroom Florentine

1 garlic clove, chopped
1/2 cup margarine
1 lb!. mushrooms, sliced
3 pkg!. frozen chopped spinach, thawed
1 onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Sauté garlic in a 1/4 cup margarine!. Remove the garlic and sauté the
mushrooms!. Combine spinach, onion and remaining margarine!. Add
salt and pepper to taste!. place in a baking dish and sprinkle with half the cheese!. Cover with the mushrooms and add remaining cheese!.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes!.

Pasta w/ ricotta herbs and lemon

1 1-pound box penne
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1 cup fresh ricotta
1/3 cup roughly chopped mixed fresh herbs (such as chervil, tarragon, and flat-leaf parsley)
Zest of 1 lemon, grated
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Cook the pasta according to the package directions!. Reserving 1/3 cup of the water, drain the pasta, then return it to the pot!. In a medium bowl, whisk together the butter, ricotta, and pasta water until a rich, creamy sauce forms!. Pour the sauce over the hot pasta!. Add the herbs, zest, salt, and pepper and toss!.

Tip: Ricotta can vary dramatically in taste and texture!. Depending on the brand you use, you may need to add extra pasta water and butter to create a sauce that's sufficiently creamy

You know what is easy to make, cheap and healthy if you do it right!? Chili!

Instead of ground beef, try lean ground turkey, for starters!.
Buy kidney beans, black beans and even corn if you wish!.
Add onion, fresh minced garlic, red or green peppers (or both)!.
also, a can of diced tomatoes!.
My secret ingredient is Manwich sauce, which isn't all that healthy, but with everything else it shouldn't even matter!. Besides, it gives it great flavor!. I also like to add a little bit of paprika and chili powder, obviously!. Sometimes some hot sauce as well!.

Oh pick me! There is a great algerian soup recipe online!. It's called Shorba!. I hate trying new things, too, but when I tried this it was amazing!. It also is good for using up your old zuchinies!. And don't worry, you can't even taste them!. IT TASTES REALLY YUMMY!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
