Does anyone know any good, large, meaty balls?!
My pal Jan is always serving up tasty swedish balls, they are so large and meaty id like to replicate them at home but she refuses to hand over the secret to her balls!. does anyone have any good recipes for tasty and hearty balls!? What's the largest I can make the balls so that they are still easy to handle and fit in my mouth properly!? Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well it all depends on how wide you can open your mouth!? I would suggest measuring your mouth first and 3/4 that!. lol

The secret is to use more than 1 kind of meat & bread-crumbs!.
With 1 lb of ground beef, use 6 oz of pork sausage meat!.
Mix with 1/2 cup of bread-crumbs or plain oat-meal!.
You can soak the bread-crumbs in milk, or mix in an egg!.
Roll into 1 1/2" balls & brown in hot oil on all sides!.
Then place in 350-400F oven for 1/2 hour, in baking dish with sauce!.
Use mushroom soup or spaghetti sauce for example!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

id ask the swedes first, but ya better make sure ta have least 3 or four balls & make sure to buy them long style so they fit in ya mouth

Costco has fabulous ones - I used them for spaghetti, stews etc!.
I even made a meatball fagitas
