This is fairly simple, the hardest part is peeling and slicing the apples!.!.!.!.!.but this desert is soooooo good!
Apple Crisp
What you'll need!.!.!.
About 10 granny smith apples
White sugar
All purpose flour
ground cinnamon
quick cooking oats
brown sugar
baking powder
baking soda
butter
Here's how you make it!.!.!.!.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
10 cups of peeled & thinly sliced apples
Peel & thinly slice the granny smith apples!.!.!.I usually buy 10 apples, but depends on how big they are, 8 maybe okay!. Once you're done, place them in a big bowl!.
In a smaller bowl mix together the following!.!.!.
1 cup of white sugar
1 Tablespoon of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Add mix on top of apples and toss the mix in the bowl to completely cover the apples!. As a tip!.!.!.!.I use a tupperware bowl with a lid and toss it around until the apples are fully covered with the mix!.
Let that mix sit and in another bowl, you'll add the following for the topping!.!.!.
In a seperate bowl add!.!.!.
1 cup of quick cooking oats
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup of melted butter
Mix all these with your hands really well!. It may seem to dry at first, but the more you moosh them together, the butter will make it work!. This is the mix you are going to put on top for the "crisp"!.
Once you've hand mixed the topping!. In a 9 x 13 glass baking dish, lightly grease with butter, then place the apple mix in dish!. Then place the crumble topping over the apple mix!.
Place in preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes!.
It is sooooo good and is even better when served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!.
*****Forgot to mention!. Make sure you pack the brown sugar in the cup!.!.!.!.it's sticky!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
