Your best recipe for cold pasta salad dressing?!


Question: Your best recipe for cold pasta salad dressing!?
I make a lot of pasta salads for lunch at work, because they store well and are filling and nutritious!. I use flax seed pasta, with red peppers, cucumbers, broccoli and Parmesan cheese!.

My default dressing that I make is two parts mayo to one part pesto, it is easy and tastes great!. Although I am starting to get bored of it!

I part ranch, to 2 parts italian or this vinegraitte!.

Or just use this viniagrette:

Cowboy Vinaigrette:

1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
3 tbsp sugar
1/8 cup horseradish
3 cups plus 2 tbsp veggie oil
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1/8 cup worcestershire sauce
3/4 tbsp dijon mustard

Place everything but the oil in a food processor, and combine!. Slowly add the oil until emulsified!. Keep in an air tight container!.

Mix with ranch dressing for a creamy vinaigrette for salads or to dip fries in!.

Pasta Salad
16 oz!. whole wheat corkscrew pasta
1 red pepper, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 medium red onion, chopped
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup chopped zucchini
1/4 cup sliced black olives
1/2 cup diced Mortadella (Italian bologna)
1 19 oz!. can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed and drained
1/4 grated Parmesan cheese
8 oz!. low-fat Italian salad dressing
Cook pasta according to package directions!. Drain and toss with remaining ingredients!.

Serves 16!.

i have used lite creamy blue cheese dressing, garlic ranch dressing, or just the good old natural zesty italian dressing!. if you like a bit of spice i found a jalapeno ranch dressing its reallllly good on the pasta salads that i have made!.

I make I Honey Dijon Vinaigrette, Blanch some green bean, shredded carrots, and red onion with pasta of your choice!. To make the Vinaigrette:
2 parts Dijon
2 parts honey
1 part vinger of choice (apple cider is a good one)
4 parts olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

I have been making my own dressings to keep it healthy!. I do not have a recipe; just pour all my stuff together and it works out great!. Olive oil, any flavor or vinegar I want and sometimes fresh lemon juice and some spices!. I love it!. You may want to look up some recipes to give you new ideas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Basic VINAIGRETTE

1? tablespoons Dijon mustard
? cup vinegar of choice OR lemon juice
? cup good olive oil
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt

This is how I make pasta salad:

1 bag spiral pasta (cooked, rinsed and chilled)
3 carrots - shredded
1 small green pepper - diced
1 small onion - diced
1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup miracle whip
salt and pepper

Mix all and chill at least for 3 hours!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would find one or two favorite bottled dressings to mix in with your pasta salad (like Cesar, Italian, Ranch, or something Asian with ginger)!. This will be fast, easy, and give you variety!. Best of luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
