Answers:
Wieners, Bockwurst, Dicke fresh from the butcher
Boil water!. When the water ist boiling, put the sausage in the water, and take the pot off the stove!. Wait 10 minutes then they are ok!.

From the can
Boil water (take the water from the can), take it frome the stove, wait 2 minutes, put the sausage into the water!. Wait 10 min than they are ok

I take Wieners from can and do micrwave them 22 seconds one side and then 22 second from the other!.

Bratwurst (Thüringer, Krakauer etc)
Some make them wet with beer!. You can grill them (best on charcoal) and you can roast them in the pan with little oil or fat!. You have to turn them a lot!.

Between Frankfurters and Wieners is no large difference!. I am from northern Germany we call them Wiener!.

ps: Currywurst: I have had Currywurst grilled, baked in the pan, and boiled in water!.

Infact we don′t boil sausage we warm them up in 80°C (176°F) warm water for at least 10 min!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are so many kinds! Rindswurst is boiled!. Bratwurst are Currywurst are cooked in a frypan!. One of my favourites is Frankfurters cooked in lentil soup!

Otherwise - propane and charcoal grills are not typical in German cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
