Yes, you do still need to add the baking soda, baking powder and salt!. Cake flour is basically just a flour that has been ground finer than "regular" flour!. It is not the same as "self-rising" flour and therefore does not already have the soda, powder or salt added to it!.
I've baked a LOT of cakes, and I am positive that you still need to add those ingredients!.
The way you word your question though almost sounds like you bought a boxed cake mix instead of a box of cake flour!. If that is actually what you mean, then you wouldn't add the soda, powder or salt!. But I am assuming that you mean a box of Cake Flour, so yes add those ingredients!.
btw -- that recipe for Strawberry Cake that another answerer posted is very, very good!. I've made it before!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It says "cake flour"!? Or does it say "cake mix"!? Or "prepared cake"!?
Cake flour is just a type of flour that is best for cakes!. It's got less gluten and it's softer and finer so that it doesn't make a tough cake!. It doesn't have any baking powder, salt, etc in it!.
Cake mix is the box cake mixes you buy in the store!.!. if this is it, why is your recipe asking for this!? Nobody needs a recipe for cake mix!. It's on the box!.
The third option, prepared cake, you can make with a box or from your own recipe!. It shoulds say what type of cake, like white cake or yellow cake or vanilla cake!. Most any recipe will do!.
Your question is really vague!. Cake flour, like I said, is just a type of flour, it's not prepared cake mix!. You'll need to add salt, baking powder, etc, to it!. The only ingredient in cake flour is flour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

for every 1 cup of flour, add one level 5ml teaspoon of baking powder!. You only need salt if you are using oil or unsalted butter to make the cake, instead of margarine and then only a pinch of salt per one cup of flour!.
I hope you are using the correct cup measurement and not your breakfast coffee mug!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

does the recipe say to add in extra baking soda!? with cake mixes you usually don't need it!. But if you can't figure it out I would add a 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda and a tea spoon of baking powder and teaspoon of salt!. If there is none of it in there then the cake wont rise!.

I think they mean to use a cake mix, because cake flour is just flour it is called cake flour because it is a finer flour!. To make a cake with cake flour you need a receipe, which would call for butter or fat of some kind eggs a levening agent, and flavorings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I'm pretty sure the "cake flour" means the baking soda, powder, salt, whatever is already in the mix!. Read the ingredients!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
go to the store and buy 2 strawberry boxed cake mixes!. You will also need layering pans!. Bake according to the instructions on cake mix!. Allow to cool!. Stack layers!. And frost!. Enjoy! =DWww@FoodAQ@Com
OK!.!.!.I have no experience in the kitchen!.
Just drop me an email when the cake is ready, and DO NOT EAT ANY OF IT!. I'll be on my way!. What's your address again!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
