Hey, that's a good idea! Approach the guys that are buying stuff that requires preparation, rather than the guys that are buying packaged stuff!. That way, there's a better chance that they are good cooks and can cook you a decent dinner!.

I guess an opening line that would work for me is, wait until he picks up something interesting like an eggplant or a leek, and say, "Hey, what are you going to make with that!?", or, "How do you cook one of those!?" That's an innocent enough question!.

Then again, if he's at the grocery store buying interesting food, there's a good chance he's about to cook dinner for somebody else!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You'll probably have more luck finding a single guy if he's buying the packaged microwave dinners, but eh with those guys!.

The guys buying ingredient to cook with are more likely to be taken, but if you find one that is single, he'd probably be a good catch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i guess it could work, if he was single!. i mean, a lot of guys are sent to the grocery store by their wives or they're cooking for a partner!.
don't hit on him at the grocery store - it's weird, like:
"oh, is that an orange you're buying!? i love round, orange things!."
see, it's weird!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
