Christmas snack ideas for family?!


Question: Christmas snack ideas for family!?
Alright so every year on christmas day i make like little goodie bags filled with homemade sugar cookies but its getting kinda boring each year this year i wanted to do something better something cute and exciting but the thing is im stuck ! i cant think of anything i was thinking about making carmel apples and dipping them in like sprinkles and drizzling green white and red icing on them and wrapping it up in fancy christmas plastic wrap but i dont know if everyones going to want that can someone plese give me some cute ideas and also something that can go into like christmas chineese food takeout boxes (the ones where white rice come in) i can purchase them at my local craft store but need some snack ideas ! please help thanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

Dirty Snowballs

1 pkg!.( 1 pound, 2 ounces) Oreo cookies

1 pkg!. (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temp!.

1 pound white confectionery coating/white chocolate

1!.Crush cookies with rolling pin
2!. Mix in cream cheese with the electric mixer
3!. Form mixture into 1 in!. balls!. Place on wax paper and refrigerate for 30 min!.
4!. Using glass bowl, melt the white chocolate in microwave!. Be very careful not to burn it!. Stop every 30 sec!. and stir vigorously to try and melt it
5!.Dip candies into the coating!. Place on wax paper and refrigerate!.

This tastes absolutely Delicious!. You can add some jimmy's too to make it look better!. It is sort of elegant and super easy to make!. Kids can even help you make it!. Sort of crunchy on the outside and soft and chocolaty on the outside!. It's great and is a hit with all ages!.

Since you are going to be around everyone an you're not really intending for these to be like a take home thing ( although, you can certainly divide things up later) why not get a large pretty basket and make a variety of pretty mini cakes ( they make little mini bundt pans) cookies and like chocolate dipped pretzles, fudge ( ihave a killer "Cheater Rocky Road "fudge If you or anyone else would like the recipe, email me)

i think you should bake ginger bread cookies and put like 2-3 in each bag and then you can buy christmas candy that have christmas wrappers in them and for the kids you can add christmas pencils !.!. ohh and you can buy those mini candycanes and put 1-2 in each one !.!. lool and you can put a bag of hot chocolate in each one ,, that would be very very cute !! :)) Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here try this I'm not sure what the name of it is but my family Loves it!.

10 oz bag of mini pretzels
5 cups Cheerios
5 cups corn checks
5 cups roasted peanuts
1 large bag of M&M's
mix all together and place on 3 large cookie sheets lined with waxed paper
Melt
1 pkg + 2squares of vanilla bark
3 Tablespoon of oil

Gingersnap Cookies

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground ginger
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup dark molasses
1/3 cup cinnamon sugar

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!.
Sift the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt into a mixing bowl!. Stir the mixture to blend evenly, and sift a second time into another bowl!.
Place the shortening into a mixing bowl and beat until creamy!. Gradually beat in the white sugar!. Beat in the egg, and dark molasses!. Sift 1/3 of the flour mixture into the shortening mixture; stir to thoroughly blend!. Sift in the remaining flour mixture, and mix together until a soft dough forms!. Pinch off small amounts of dough and roll into 1 inch diameter balls between your hands!. Roll each ball in cinnamon sugar, and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet!.
Bake in preheated oven until the tops are rounded and slightly cracked, about 10 minutes!. Cool cookies on a wire rack!. Store in an air tight container!.




Peppermint Meringues

2 egg whites
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 peppermint candy canes, crushed

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 225 degrees F (110 degrees C)!. Line 2 cookie sheets with foil!.
In a large glass or metal mixing bowl, beat egg whites, salt, and cream of tartar to soft peaks!. Gradually add sugar, continuing to beat until whites form stiff peaks!. Drop by spoonfuls 1 inch apart on the prepared cookie sheets!. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candy over the cookies!.
Bake for 1 1/2 hours in preheated oven!. Meringues should be completely dry on the inside!. Do not allow them to brown!. Turn off oven!. Keep oven door ajar, and let meringues sit in the oven until completely cool!. Loosen from foil with metal spatula!. Store loosely covered in cool dry place for up to 2 months!.






chocolate marbled meringues

2 oz!. unsweetened chocolate
2 large egg whites- at room temp!.
1/8 tsp!. cream of tartar
? cup superfine sugar
? tsp!. vanilla extract
1 ? tsp!. cornstarch
1 bag mint chocolate chips

1!. Preheat oven to 200°!. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper or aluminum foil!. Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 25 seconds; stir, and then microwave for another 20 seconds!.
2!. In a glass bowl beat the egg whites on medium speed until frothy!. Add the cream of tartar, Continue to beat on medium high speed until the mixture forms peaks!. Slowly add the sugar, about a tablespoon at a time, waiting at least 10 seconds between additions, gradually increasing the speed to high!. Add the vanilla and beat for another 3 minutes, or until stiff!. Sift the cornstarch over the mixture, and gently fold in using a spatula!.
3!. Transfer the meringue to a bowl!. Using a spatula, heavily drizzle parallel lines of the melted chocolate over the surface of the meringue!. Using a 1 inch ice cream scoop scrape across the surface of the mixture, crosswise to the drizzled lines, to get a rounded mound of striped meringue!.
4!. Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and leave them in until the oven is completely cooled!.
