How to cook a porterhouse steak beside just pan roasting or broiling?!

I agree, broiling is Ok, but pan roasting!? I would just pan sear it, but that's just me!. I like my steak Medium Rare and without outside options of grilling right now here in Ohio, a thick bottomed pan, coated with a bit of Olive Oil and butter, sear that wonderful piece of heaven on high heat, with Salt and Pepper, on both sides to your desired temperature and let it rest while you get the rest of your meal together!. Do you have a deep fryer!? Ever done a steak in there!? It's quite interesting and delicious!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.So, enjoy your Porterhouse, I doubt that you will be disappointed no matter how you cook it, unless you do it Medium Well! hahahahahaha Happy Thanksgiving to you! If you're a novice, don't ruin a porterhouse steak trying to grill it on a bar-b-cue grill!. You have to know what you're doing!. If you know a friend who is highly skilled in bar-b-cue ing, then by all means invite them over to show you how it's done!.
Actually, searing them off in a black iron skillet is my favorite way of cooking them!. If they are really thick, finish them off in a 350° F!. oven!.
