Hi, smiles, hugs, you sure jump around in your questions!.

I always do water, less than suggested, then add milk after!.

I was raised with milk Cows and Oatmeal for breakfast but never let a Cow into the kitchen!.

Part of the issue is the substance of the milk, and so much the timing!.

By the way, is there anything really wrong with Oatmeal soup!? I milk mine down enough to be able to drink it, but I add lots of sugar, cinnamon, and usually fruit!.

I hope you had eggs and toast!?

Hugs on your tummy!.

Make sure the milk is boiling before you add the oatmeal to the pot, and stir it a few times while it's going to make sure everything is absorbed-- just keep an eye on it because every time I use milk instead of water it tends to try and bubble over and make a huge mess everywhere!. I use quick-cook oats, which are supposed to only cook in 1 minute, but I usually let them simmer for 2-3 minutes so that they have time to thicken!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Every time I use water it turns out a lot better!. Yeah, I'm not sure exactly why that happens with milk, but I know it's the person's preference!. If you like it with water, I'd keep using that!! :]Www@FoodAQ@Com

i always use milk for my oatmeal andit comes out creamy, even thicker than when i use water!.

i think u will prbably have to cook it longer!.!.that has never happened to me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

try cooking it longerWww@FoodAQ@Com

I always use water and add the milk, butter and brown sugar, after it is cooked!. Yum!Www@FoodAQ@Com
